Lancia Delta II

The previous Lancia Delta is a very famous car in motor rallying. It won no less than 6 consecutive world championships in the 80s and early 90s. In business terms, the production Delta was not a bit impressive.

The second generation of Delta comes in 1993. It based on the contemporary Fiat Tipo platform, which also provided the basis for many cars like Fiat Tempra, Brava, Bravo, Marea, Coupe, Alfa 145, 146, 155, GTV, Spider and Lancia Dedra. Among all these derivatives, Delta is not an impressive one. It looks odd, drives ordinary and is produced with so-so quality. Even the sportiest version, 2.0HPE turbo, is no match for the legendary Integrale of the 80's in terms of handling and driving fun, although it is equally fast in straight line. From the deletion of 4WD from Delta's range, we can see Fiat group is no longer supporting Lancia Delta as a highlight car.
